This Is Me

Individual Therapy and much more!

I am a registered member of BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists) and abide by the organisation's Ethical Frameworks which can be viewed at www.bacp.co.uk. I have over 20 years' experience of supporting people who have experience trauma and mental health difficulties. I graduated from the Gestalt Centre and studied for a Master's Degree at Birkbeck University. I have supported people in schools and colleges, charitable organisations, and the NHS. Currently, I have a private practice, working online with a variety of people. I did further training to enable me to effectively offer trauma therapy and Narcissistic Abuse Therapy, which I have now been providing for over 7 years.

I am passionate about supporting people, alleviating emotional pain, and freeing people from negative thoughts and patterns. Through my individual therapy and private practice, I am here to help people make sense of their life experiences so they begin to live their lives their way.

There is no such thing as insignificant trauma. If you still feel pain, it was traumatic.

As a highly sensitive person a couple of my earliest realisations on my own healing journey was that I don't have to answer every question I'm asked, and that it is okay not to be nice and polite all the time. Such a small shift in my own pattern made a big difference in my life. It's just fine to do what is best for you.

Please read my  blog, it's nice to be nice.

Values:

Inclusive:

Regardless of your background, how you identify, your physical ability, religious beliefs your age, skin colour, sexual identity you are welcome. My private practice with online individual therapy and other services are online enabling people from all backgrounds to take the first steps towards overcoming trauma.

Gratitude:

I find it helpful to remember to be grateful every day. It's a practice I started during lockdown and has become an integral part of my life. I am grateful and honoured that people allow me to accompany them on their healing journey.

Respect:

Treating people with respect is very important to me. This is why respect is at  the core of my practice along with Unconditional Positive Regard.  What you bring to our sessions will be valued, your voice will be heard respectfully and what you share treated with professional confidentiality.
